Verizon: Here, Dodger Fans, Have Some Free Showtime To Drown The Misery Of Your Baseball-Free Existance
Dear Valued Verizon Customer,Not exactly honest about the Extra Innings package, are they? I mean, I can't watch the Giants feed of Dodgers games at AT&T Park, now, can I?You may have heard that Time Warner Cable and the Dodgers have created a new channel — Time Warner Cable SportsNet LA — that will carry many of the Dodgers' games this season.
We realize that for avid baseball fans, catching every game is important. While we have attempted to negotiate an agreement with time Warner Cable to carry SportsNet LA, significant differences still remain. Several TV providers, including Verizon, do not believe the fees sought by Time Warner Cable are fair or reasonable.
We will continue to pursue an equitable agreement because we understand the importance of providing great service at a fair price.
In the meantime, rest assured that you will be able to view the Dodgers' games in the following ways:
ANOTHER WAY TO WATCH THE DODGERS!
- Watch nationally broadcast games on ESPN, Fox Sports 1 or FOX (KTTV-11).
- With your MLB Extra Innings* package, you have free access to MLB.TV, which allows you to watch up to 80 or more live out of market games each week — all in incredible HD
Grab your peanuts and popcorn and enter for a chance to win Dodgers tickets! Go to fiossocal.com/fioscustomerlovesweeps and use the password that everyone loves to hear — PLAYBALL — to enter.ENJOY SHOWTIME ON US!

Racing To Despair: Mariners 8, Angels 2
- Jered Weaver did not look good in his March 31 start, throwing less than 2:1 more strikes than balls (56-39). While Kevin Jepsen's implosion was the headline story, the loss still fell — rightly — on Weaver, who failed to outduel the Mariners' ace, Felix Hernandez, dropping the opener 10-3.
- If C.J. Wilson is your #2, what does that say about your roster construction? Nothing good, as the Halos fell 8-3. Once again, it's not just the pitching: the offense is wretched, too, making Erasmo Ramirez (he of the 4.26 ERA last year) look like an ace.
Here we go again?
LOL. Really? Because ...."It's way too early to think that," Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton said after an 8-3 loss to the Mariners on Tuesday night. "We haven't thought about it, so, stop thinking about it. Talk to me in like a week and a half. Guys are getting their feel, getting settled in, not only here but at home. We'll be good."
- OHAI I CAN HAZ SWEEP?
ANAHEIM -- It's only the first series of the season, and three games out of 162, but the numbers are already frightening …
Murphy running roughshod over the team these days, and why not? Too many old guys, too many has-beens, and not enough Mike Trout-aged players.Angels' bullpen: 12 earned runs in 10 innings.
Angels' offense with runners in scoring position: 1-for-18.
Angels' run-differential: minus-18.
