Anyway, there's no complete game victory that you can't call brilliant, and Francisco Rodriguez had one, although of course you'd like to see more strikeouts. Throwing 115 pitches, it was the Quakes' first complete game shutout since Steven Shell accomplished the feat on August 13, 2004; he was assisted by a pair of double-plays. A pair of Visalia errors helped the Quakes to their victory, keyed in part by Drew Toussaint's RBI single.
