Minor League Scorebook

2008-06-04: Salt Lake did not play
2008-06-04: Arkansas 0, NW Arkansas 3 #
Statia: 1-3
Denham: (L, 4-5), 7.0 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 7 H, 4 K, 1 BB, 2 HR, 3.02 ERA
2008-06-04: Rancho Cucamonga vs. Lancaster: Postponed #
And you thought tonight's game at Arlington was bad: Rancho at Lancast was "winded out", with winds gusting to 65 MPH (!!) prompting the reschedule of the game for Thursday.
2008-06-04: Kane County 3, Cedar Rapids 4 #
Fuller: 0-3, 1 BB, 1 K
De Los Santos: 0-3, 1 BB
Moore: 2-4, 1 RBI
Davitt: 6.1 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 7 H, 3 K, 2 BB, 1 HR, 5.40 ERA
McKiernan: (W, 1-3) (in relief), 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 4.70 ERA
Cedar Rapids won this one in walk-off fashion on Jeremy Moore's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth. Catcher Anel De Los Santos' lone time on base was, ironically, an intentional pass to get to Moore.
2008-06-04: Orem did not play
2008-06-04: AZL Angels did not play
2008-06-04: Las Vegas did not play
2008-06-04: Mobile 2, Jacksonville 3 #
De Jesus: 1-4, 1 K
Tomlin: 2-3, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Bellhorn: 1-1, 1 HR, 2 RBI
Castillo, J: 6.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 5 H, 3 K, 4 BB, 3.53 ERA
Elbert: (W, 1-0) (in relief), 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 K, 1 BB, 0.00 ERA
Hammes: (S, 1), 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 7.20 ERA
Scott Elbert made his first appearance of 2008, and got a win for his troubles. Jacksonville scored all three runs in the bottom of the eighth, two on a two-run homer by Mark Bellhorn, and what is he doing at this level?
2008-06-04: Inland Empire 8, Lake Elsinore 5 #
Robinson: 2-4, 2 2B, 1 RBI, 2 BB
Fuller: 2-5, 1 2B, 1 3B, 2 RBI, 1 K
Santana, C: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 BB, 2 K
Locke: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Van Slyke: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 BB
Lara: 3-5, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 1 K
Pedroza: 2-5, 1 2B, 3 K
Bastardo: (W, 2-5), 6.0 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 H, 6 K, 3 BB, 1 HR, 6.84 ERA
Meque: (S, 4), 1.2 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 2 K, 2 BB, 1.64 ERA
If the wind was gusting to 65 MPH up at Rancho, it's a good bet that Lake Elsinore was similarly affected in kind if not in quantity; just so, a 13 MPH wind blowing out to center clearly had an effect on the scoring here. Alberto Bastardo pitched pretty well considering.
2008-06-04: Fort Wayne 4, Great Lakes 3 #
Kanaby: 3-4
Lambo: 0-3, 1 BB, 1 K
Silverio: 1-4, 1 K
Mattingly: 0-4, 2 K
Baez: 1-3, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 2 K
Jansen: 2-3, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K
Miller: 6.0 IP, 2 R, 0 ER, 4 H, 3 K, 3 BB, 2.10 ERA
Diaz: (BS, 1)(L, 0-1) (in relief), 3.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 H, 5 K, 3 BB, 1 HR, 6.00 ERA
2008-06-04: Ogden did not play
2008-06-04: GCL Dodgers did not play
