Baseball in a tiny fan base

One of my co-workers has a pair of adorable little girls. They're old enough now that they play softball. My friend reports that more kids at the games wear Angel caps than Dodger caps; rally monkeys are omnipresent.

Think about this: the Dodgers haven't won a championship in the time a child has been born and gone to high school. In two more years, that child will have graduated and gone to college. Children living now have no memory of Tommy Lasorda or even of any Dodger postseason victories.

And frankly (har de har har), I don't see it happening under McCourt's underfunded, shortsighted watch.
