Who Dayns To Make Such Cracks?
Fox shill Dayn Perry makes the stupendous claim that nobody with money wanted the Dodgers. Here's this impossible quote in an otherwise solid article:
Expect plenty of grousing in the press and among fans about the Dodgers' newfound frugality, and they have a point. It would be better for everyone, the game included, if we had more John Henrys out there willing to invest in their own products. But we don't. And if you're going to have a team with tight purse strings, better to have someone like Paul DePodesta making the baseball decisions.Chimps! Morons! Petunias! DePodesta is, I'm sure, a fine gentleman, but lazy factual errors like this one just burn me. Or, just who do you think Eli Broad and Dave Checketts are? How do these guys get paying jobs doing this stuff? Sign me up, please...
