Penance: Indians 3, Angels 2

Figgins isn't a third baseman. Question before the house: if we had Boone at the hot corner there, does he prevent those runs from scoring? We'll never know, but we do know that Scioscia lost this game by putting Paul, Amezega, Kotchman -- and it now has to be said -- Kennedy in the lineup all at once. He needed to get Quinlan some playing time at first, at the very least. Leave Vlad in right and make one of los dos Molinas DH. Lackey's best start of the year -- three runs over eight innings, with four punchouts -- and the team couldn't get him any run support, thanks in no small part to the quizzical lineup card. Vlad going 0-3 is unexpected; the rest of these guys having 0-fer nights is predictable.

And everyone else in the division won while we lost. Advantage, two games.

Recap

Comments:
Right, but Boone probably doesn't give us a 312/352/482 line that Figgins does (add his 16-2 SB and that SLG goes to 554).

I don't get the lineup tonight either...
