Bad Arte, No Biscuit

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGHHH!
It appears the Angels are in the thick of the Randy Johnson Derby, after all.

The Arizona Diamondbacks dispatched one of their top talent evaluators to check out Angels prospects at both the Triple-A and Double-A levels. It's unlikely Arizona would waste a top scout's time in mid-July if it weren't talking about a major deal with Anaheim.

... The Diamondbacks most need pitching and catching help.

It's likely they're talking to the Angels about a deal involving Double-A catcher Jeff Mathis and perhaps Double-A first baseman Casey Kotchman.

What? Kotchman's been demoted back to Arkansas?
