New Reference Website: Business of Baseball

Thanks to Bob Timmerman for pointing out that a group has bought out all of Doug Pappas' old archival materials and launched a new site with it, Business of Baseball. I'll add it to the Links section presently.

Update: thanks to the 2002 Basic Agreement, we know that the Chicago Cubs and the Boston Red Sox, unique among ballclubs, "shall have the right to reschedule a postponed game as a split doubleheader to be played in, respectively, Fenway Park and Wrigley Field". How they got that, I'd love to know.

Comments:
Actually, in the case of the Cubs, scheduling is such a nightmare because of the locals' insistence that virtually all games be day games that I would have to imagine they get automatic preference. I can't imagine why the Sox are so honored.
