A Complete Warrior: Dodgers 4, Cardinals 0

Zero?

Yeah, Zero is a wonderful thing. In fact, Zero is my hero!

How can Zero be a hero?

After tonight, it can, blanking the Cards' mighty lineup. A complete game shutout on 109 pitches, the Dodgers' first postseason victory since 1988. "Masterful" doesn't begin to describe this game. From his six-pitch fourth, to the ten-pitch ninth, he was simply amazing.

Dodger Blues can step back from the ledge, for a few hours, anyway. For my part, I've never been so happy to be wrong.

Recap

In other news: Fox finally, finally got the HD broadcast right on both the Yankees/Twins and Cards/Dodgers games and got rid of the stupid letterboxed format (768i?). ESPN HD hasn't shown one yet without letterboxing, and it looks stupid. There's hope for Fox; there might be hope for ESPN. I'm with Will Carroll: why aren't they broadcasting ads in HD, too?

Comments:
sweet, now we don't have to hear about the 16-year-drought of wins anymore.
