Another Wonderful Cost-Saving Scheme
Go Cardinals points us to this potentially earth-shattering advance in technology, that is, a text-to-speech application that could conceivably replace Joe Morgan, Jon Miller, or John Kruk at Sports Center without any appreciable loss to humanity or the audience's brain cells. I further suggest that, should such a device be made to call games in real time and occaisionally give the score in the many intra-inning idle spots, Mr. Rick Monday of the Los Angeles Dodgers might well be looking for some other line of work, too. I wholeheartedly commend the idea to Frank, and suggest the author contact him at once.
