Astros Offer Beltran 5/$70M Deal
The Houston Astros have offered Carlos Beltran a five-year, $70M deal according to a story relayed by MSNBC. (The Astros website claims the announcement came from KRIV-TV.) The team would not confirm the offer. Beltran says he has been contacted by eight teams, the "Astros, Phillies, Mariners, Yankees, Mets, Angels, Orioles and Cubs."
