Signings News
- Former Dodgers and Cubs 2B Mark Gruzielanek has signed with the Cards, says Rotoworld citing ESPNews as its source. No terms yet.
- MLB.com has an empty story (and Rotoworld claims) that the Marlins have signed former Dodger Ismael Valdez to a one-year contract. No dollars are known at this time.
- The Arizona Republic says that a deadline approaches for the Diamondbacks to sign first-round pick Stephen Drew. Drew, brother of current Dodger J.D. Drew, is a Scott Boras client, and may return to Florida State if negotiations fail, essentially voiding the D'backs' draft pick. Drew has until Monday to enroll, but could do so later with special permission from the dean.
