100 Years Of Angels Baseball
Uncle Al writes to let me know that this is the 100th year of Angels teams. The old PCL Angels, founded in 1903, ceased to play in Los Angeles after the 1957 season when the Dodgers moved into town. The American League Angels team -- by turns housed in Los Angeles, California, Anaheim, and most recently (and perhaps impermanently) Los Angeles again -- got its start in 1961 as one of the American League's expansion franchises. (The other team was the second-time-around Washington Senators, now the Texas Rangers.)
In that three-year breach, the space between the Angels' past and present.
Happy anniversary, everyone.
