Veteran's Committee Elects Nobody
The Veteran's Committee elected nobody to the Hall of Fame. Dangling chads? Butterfly ballots? Whatever, Ron Santo's exclusion from the Hall is perplexing, and you'd think the Veterans could figure that one out.
Update: Jay Jaffe has a wonderful article at Baseball Prospectus, written in his own rip-roaring, good-to-the-last-laugh style. Santo, he says, is the "single best Hall-eligible hitter not already in, period." A crime.
