What Didn't DePodesta Know, And When Didn't He Know It?

Good news: The Fourth Outfielder is getting noticed.
Bad news:
At one end of the front office, they have done the math to see how the new field-level seats at Dodger Stadium will affect the team's bottom line.

But General Manager Paul DePodesta said he hasn't done the math to see how the changes might affect the team's bottom line on the field. Despite his image as a computer-reliant, numbers-cruncher, DePodesta said he has done no analysis yet of what effect the loss of foul territory at Dodger Stadium might have on offense or pitching performances there.

"There's no data yet," DePodesta said.

Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't he have done some kind of research on this before the team started on these renovations?

Comments:
Depo said he didn't do the calculations but he came up with the same conclusion as Tom at the fouth outfielder. I think he might have been less than truthful that he hadn't studied it yet. Tired of the Stat Boy jokes. IMO.
