I could swear I've heard that before somewhere.

Gee, you wouldn't think that a team that worries about protecting its "precious 27 outs" instead of scoring runs would have a bad offense, would you?

Here's a fun fact: the A's are actually making fewer outs per plate appearance than the Angels. Yet the Angels are scoring about 25% more runs per out and runs per plate appearance. Maybe there's something to all this "productive outs" stuff after all...

All of the sudden that outing by Escobar doesn't look quite as impressive.
 
Come on, William, which would you rather have: one guy who can't get run support, or a whole rotation full?
 
i think he means that any idiot could toss 6 shutout innings against the A's right now.

i gotta say, as an A's fan, this is such a hard team to watch right now. all these runners left on base makes one sick to his stomach.
