Angels Reopen Weaver Talks
It might not be time for hyperventilating just yet, but the Angels have reopened talks with Jered Weaver.
Angel owner Arte Moreno said Friday he "hasn't given up" hope of signing Weaver, the younger brother of Dodger pitcher Jeff Weaver. "Like everything else, I always hope for the best; I'm an eternal optimist," Moreno said. "We have the rest of May."Rich, you may re-start your explanations for why the Angels would be better off paying (the untested at the major league or any professional level) Weaver a guaranteed contract at any price.
