The BoraS Starts Here: Angels Sign Weaver?
After a fresh rasher o' skepticism about Jered Weaver's value, comes Halo's Heaven citing circumstantial evidence that Jered Weaver might be under the Angels' control. At the park, observing the scene with his binoculars, Halofan notes the presence of Scott Boras in the owner's suite and that of Bill Stoneman and AGM Ken Forsch (among other Angels execs) in the adjoining suite at last night's game. He writes
By about the 5th inning, everyone has some papers in their hands, in both suites. Lots of activity, some buzz - then there are two guys in the suite with management, not in red shirts. I could swear it is Boras and another guy. One even reaches over from Arte's suite and shakes Stoneman's hand.... or else they've signed Wash to an extension. Or else Boras finally got Arte to pay up on his golf bet. We'll see.

I'm inclined to agree with you that a trade is just not very likely. But stranger things have happened.
Two months of batting mediocrity is more than just a slump or a funk. It is a sign of basic fundamental weaknesses throughout the batting order.
Like you've said many times, the team's offense has suffered dramatically from the absences of Glaus and Guillen. Finley and the 3rd base platoon haven't come anywhere close to compensating for those losses.
