Roster Moves
- Reserve catcher Paul Bako was moved to the DL with a sprain of his left anterior cruciate ligament. Dioner Navarro will be called up in his place.
- Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Mark Prior took a batted ball off his pitching elbow. An MRI detected a fracture, and it is unknown when he will return. There's no indication yet who will replace him for next Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.
- Arizona closer Brandon Lyon won't need reconstructive surgery according to Angels team physician Dr. Lewis Yocum.
- Oakland placed DH Erubiel Durazo on the DL with left elbow tendinitis. He is replaced on the 25-man roster with 1B Dan Johnson from AAA Sacramento.
