Jackson Bombs Again

I meant to do this as part of a larger writeup about goings on on the farm, but I figured I'd better get to it before he's sent down to AA Jacksonville: Edwin Jackson exploded again Sunday, giving up six runs, five hits, and seven walks in three innings. He also pitched to six batters in the eighth without making an out. His ERA now stands at 8.67; I wonder that he isn't becoming a Project. His loss represented the culmination of a four-game sweep at the hands of the Seattle Mariners' AAA Tacoma Raniers.

Update: unfortunately, because of the actions of various children, I'm locking down comments on this post. Re-enabling now.

Update 2: Thanks to Fearing Blue in the comments upthread for the intelligence that Jackson now appears on the Suns' roster, and Eric Stults has moved to the 51's.

Comments:
was Jackson pitching in relief? if he is pitching in relief, why not just send him to jacksonville

Yes, I believe the start was made by Dessens, who had pitched pretty well (4.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 5 SO) up to that point. Jebus.
