Two Games

Padres 2, Dodgers 1

Eight straight losses, four games under .500, 6.5 games back of the Pads. Tell you what: tomorrow, make 'em come out in lingerie, 'cause they're embarrassing the same uniform Jackie Robinson, Kirk Gibson, and Sandy Koufax wore.

Update: For the love of Christ, yes.

Angels 8, Rangers 6

For a team supposedly built around pitching and defense, the Angels sure aren't acting like it much against the Rangers. But Texas has the best offense in the majors, so I'm complaining a mite much. Still, Frankie was just plain scary, unable to locate anything. Bart had similar issues early, but settled down in the fifth and sixth. Angels batted around in the first and second innings, and Chan Ho was out of the park by the second inning, the shortest start of his career.

The Angels are three and a half games over the Rangers, and twelve games over .500.
