UTK Stuff
From today's UTK:
- Chipper Jones, sidelined prior to the Angels series, is in some serious trouble; "It is never a good sign when one of the best doctors in baseball can't give a solid diagnosis." Good news for the Angels, and also the Fish, Nats, and the rest of the NL East.
- It sounds like Tigers SS Carlos Guillen is down for a while now after blowing out his hammy in last night's Dodgers game. "[S]mall changes often have significant impact and not always in the way we expect. Guillen is likely to head to the DL to heal both the hamstring and the knee."
- Arizona starter Shawn Estes got pulled in the sixth yesterday after succumbing to a hand injury fielding a sharp comebacker barehanded. Will alerts us to "watch closely". Estes was never any better than a fifth starter, though he somehow miraculously performed better than that last year with the Rockies (!!). It wouldn't take much to send him to retirement.
