Rich reminds me that I called Jered Weaver's $4M bonus as well as the absence of a major league contract. It will take awhile to determine whether I was right about the amount of time it will take to get him up to the show. Fortunately, he kindly does not remind me that I have recently been horribly, finally wrong about my other hunches.

Uhhh... I am sorry for the loss, but when you start comparing hunches on something as meaningless as draft picks for a baseball team to someone's death, then you're taking this blog thing a little too seriously.

You have it exactly reversed. It means nothing to me that I got the terms of Weaver's contract right.
Our sympathy is with you and your friend's family in this awful loss - my sister's husband almost died forma misdiagnosed West Nile infection last summer, so these things are, sadly, unavoidably a part of life.
