Roster Moves
- The Padres agreed to a trade with the Yankees: Paul Quantrill for fifth starters Darrell May and Tim Redding, and cash. Additionally, the Padres recalled RHP Brian Falkenborg and utility Eric Young.
- The Pads may place CF Dave Roberts on the DL. His knee continues to hurt him.
- It's official: Orlando Cabrera is on the 15-day DL. Curtis Pride will take his place on the 25-man roster.
