The Wrath Of Felipe Alou: Dodgers 5, Giants 4

Let's get one thing straight right now: that was the worst "no swing" call I have ever seen in my life. I mean, the barrel of the bat was in Las Vegas, with Jason Phillips still stuck at the plate. And here's the embarrassing thing: the Dodgers aren't going anywhere. Neither are the Giants.

I missed the first eight innings of this mess, but I didn't need to see any more; the ninth was entertainment enough. Every single penny I've paid for HDTV service was worth it, 'cause it meant I got to watch Felipe Alou yell at first base umpire Adam Dowdy after that painful swing, and Dowdy shout back "Tough!" God, it doesn't get richer. And then after Phillips singles to right and plates the winning run, Alou and his 70-year-old frame coming out of the dugout and shouting, "Get some f-cking glasses" and probably a hundred other unprintables -- well, if that's not a gas in this hideous trainwreck of a season, I don't know what is. God help me, I'm gonna get something out of this year, even if it's only a couple bench players and a smirk every time I think of Alou.
