Birds Seedy: Angels 10, Orioles 1

It's been a long, long while since the Angels had a blowout, and this one was needed as it could be. After the horrible 18-inning game in Toronto Thursday and two extra-innings games over the weekend, the Angels' pen was spent. Colon's seven strong innings -- despite his ten hits, he struck out seven -- got the Angels relievers a much-needed second day off.

Angels offense also shone, with only Kennedy having an 0-fer night. Cabrera's 1-4 showing masked a 2-RBI double, and Vlad smacked a couple dingers. His 3-4 game was much needed as well.

The Angels retain a one-game lead in the AL West.
