Liveblogging: Dodgers 7, Braves 4

Liveblogging operations commence. Refugees from the Dodger Thoughts outage (the Baseball Toaster is having ISP trouble) are welcome to gather round and toss out comments.

5:39 pm: Dodgers 2, Braves 1. Weaver gave up a run in the fourth. What is Cruz, Jr. doing in the lineup... again?

5:43 pm: Cruz, Jr. manages to make it to third on Navarro's RBI single, this without injuring himself or the team's chances. ... and Weaver gets a bunt single? After popping it up? Lucky, lucky stars...

5:47 pm: Okay, now this is getting ridiculous. Robles gets an RBI sac fly off, and then Bradley belts one out with two on? Dodgers 7, Braves 1, and we're not even out of the fourth with five runs scored. I think Thomson maybe needs some more rehab if the Dodgers can pound him like that. Bobby Cox appears to agree, as he comes out in favor of former Giant Jim Brower.

Top 5th, 6:00 pm: Between Kent and Saenz, Brower has struck out two Dodgers. That doubles his total for the entire year. Mazzone magic strikes again.

Werth doubles, and the Jose Cruz, Jr. walks, thus confusing Jim Tracy into thinking he's got plate discipline. We'll get extra helpings of Cruz in the future...

Navarro strikes out, and Weaver taps out to the mound, stranding two. That's the Dodgers I know and tolerate!

Bottom 5th: And then Cruz guns down Brian McCann trying to stretch a single into a double. We are so going to see too much of Cruz for the rest of the year.

Bottom 6th: So much for Weaver's alleged dominance of the Braves. Andruw Jones takes him deep to left with brother Chipper aboard. Dodgers 7, Braves 3.

Make that back-to-back jacks, the second one from Adam LaRoche's bat. Say a kind word to your brother Andy, would you? And did I mention nobody's out? No? Dodgers 7, Braves 4

Bottom 6th, 6:35 pm: Gameday Audio goes silent. With Rick Monday and Al Downing in the booth, this could be considered an improvement.

Bottom 9th: And that's where it stays, with Duaner Sanchez getting the save. No bullpen implosions, and the Dodgers walk away from Atlanta with a series win. Meantime, the Pads lost to Florida, 2-0, advancing the Dodgers a whole game closer to the top of the division.

As if that were any great shakes.

Recap

Comments:
He's been a good player when healthy, but he's not been good at staying healthy. I'm concluding that he doesn't have the health tool.

what's up with dodger thoughts?

rob, speaking of werth, i will say in his defense that the wrist was a freak accident, and he played through cracked ribs last year. at least he doesn't have mike marshall disease.

Dodger Thoughts has ISP troubles.

fanerman91, what are you saying, the Dodgers should invest in Centinela Hospital stock (if such a thing existed)?

That's a different kind of employee health coverage...

Choi must exude some kind of anti-manager pheromone.

All that kimchee, no doubt.
