No Monkey, No Rally: Devil Rays 12, Angels 8
You have to believe. Moments like this, when the team's getting killed by the likes of the Devil Rays, you just have to deal with along the way. Vlad, at least, isn't slumping, going 2-4 with an intentional walk, and Anderson and Quinlan both doing well at the plate. When even Maicer Izturis comes up with a two-run homer -- his first this year! -- you'd think the Angels were going to win.
No such luck. The trouble tonight was Santana, and to a lesser degree, Kevin Gregg. Known for his inconsistency in the minors. he just didn't have much of anything tonight, so it should be interesting to see what he has to say for himself in the morning.
Amazingly enough, the Angels got beaten by the likes of Joe Borowski (again), and former Cleveland pitcher Danys Baez. Out-bullpenned (no earned runs by the D-Rays, five by the Angels), again.
