Well, that's refreshing. But really, wasn't it obvious at the beginning of the season? Starting perennially injured Todd Hollandsworth? A bullpen that's never been more than rickety? Another dose of unhealthy Nomar? Corporate ownership won't demand much accountability, and I'm not convinced Hendry knows what he's doing here. But at least he admits he knows that he doesn't know.

I have already tired of this story but I'm sure before it's over I will be absolutely sick of it.
DT's stance is commendable I suppose, taking up the cause of the poor mixed up and misunderstood Bradley, but I have little sympathy. He has been afforded a much greater opportunity than most, regardless of racial background and after squandering more than one of those opportunities, he continues to make the wrong choices.
Now the facts. No rumors.
Tracy and the coaching staff have done a masterful job of covering other "incidents" before this one. It was only a matter of time that the lid blew off.
The other players almost without exception have expressed their support for Kent and his constructive criticism in this matter. At least tacitly they agree that Bradley has not been playing all out. In a recent clubhouse meeting (Bradley absent) Kent was given a standing ovation when singled out by Tracy.
Prior to the injury announcement, which may have defused the whole incident for now, Tracy prohibited Bradley from entering the clubhouse for an indeterminate time.
Finally, Bradley is gone. Anyone who thinks or even hopes otherwise is naive. He is not favored player of management nor is he a favored teammate.

Whether or not Bradley is a good teammate is not what I'm concerned about, but rather how McCourt and DePodesta intend to implement their new "character-based" selection of players.
"Good" or "bad" chemistry seems to be determined only after the fact. Human personalities are too complex to figure out if they mesh well ahead of time. If we could all figure out who we got along with before the fact, there would be many fewer divorces.

I absolutely agree with both of you. The only caveat would be when you have a constant pattern to go by. At that point a player like Rocker, Everett etc... becomes a cancer and contaminates whichever team he ends up on. Then the GM has to be willing to sacrifice talent for attitude and hope he wins out in the end. Maybe easier said than done given the pressures of winning every year.
IMO Bradley is a cancer and is not likely to change his spots at this late date.
