Anderson's Condition Diagnosed
The Angels now know what's wrong with Garret Anderson: turns out it's patellar tendinitis, and irritation of the lower back. Neither condition is related to his arthritis. The Official Scorer Quiz
I love baseball puzzles, and there's some great ones at The Baseball Analysts in a guest column by David Vincent. Sample:With a 2-1 count on the batter the pitcher is removed from the game. The new pitcher walks the batter. Your call?
Charge the walk to the first pitcher. [rule 10.18(h)(1)]
Roster Notes
- Rangers reliever Kevin Gryboski drew a 3-game suspension for unspecified "inappropriate actions".
- The third Molina brother, Yadier, could be back in the Cards lineup this week. He's not expected to need a rehab assignment principally because the Cardinals are more interested in his defense.
Update: Commenter Adam notes Yadier was in last night's Cards game.
