UTK Quick Hits
Here we go from today's UTK:
- Mariners pitcher Jorge Campillo pitched one inning before coming off the mound from his first start after being called up from AAA Tacoma. He will need Tommy John surgery and is out for the balance of the season. The M's are notorious for pitcher injuries.
- The Padres' Ryan Klesko will be down for a few games with "severe back spasms".
- Kelvim Escobar's rehab progresses ahead of schedule and he may return late this month.
- "Erik Bedard is pitching like a guy scared that his elbow is going to hurt. It's tough to succeed in those circumstances..."
