Hatcher To Serve Suspension Saturday
Mickey Hatcher will serve his one-game suspension Saturday. He was suspended for "inappropriate actions and comments" during the September 8 game against Boston at Fenway.
Comments:
yes, i think it would be awesome if they had a 20 hit game. who wouldn't want that? did i miss something?
It's a sorry state when Angels fans "dream" of a five walk game as though it were some sort of mythical creature.
The cause of his suspension is unknown, but highly suspicious because he was in the dugout at the time.
Belay the post above, apparently Hatcher was directly hassling an umpire over a very bad call, right in his face.
Steve - This was the "Cabrera didn't tag-up" call against Boston. The ump in question (Larry Young) had a run-in with Scioscia the night before on another blown call, and it was clearly retribution.
And Hatcher was out of line. He charged the umpire - the wrong umpire - with an profanity-laced tirade.
