Kevin Brown To 60-Day DL

The Yankees placed Kevin Brown on the 60-day DL, ending his career as a Yankee, and possibly as a major league pitcher. Brown was 4-7 with a 6.50 ERA in 13 starts with New York this year. It was the third time he has been placed on the DL. Brown is in the last year of a seven-year $15M/year contract signed when with the Dodgers.

Update: It's been a bad day for Yankees pitchers. Apparently Jaret Wright took a line drive in the collarbone and neck, and had to leave the game; x-rays turned up negative. Wright had just returned from the 15-day DL, where he was recovering from shoulder pain.

Comments:
Outside of Albert Belle, will any great player make a more anonymous and uncared for exit than Kevin Brown?
