Talk about a tight game. Both sides pitched well, with Orem pitching just a little better than Ogden. Jose Arredondo, who started the season with Arkansas, had easily the best game of his year. Orem goes up 1-0 in the best-of-three series, with game 2 in Ogden tomorrow.

Joel Guzman provided nearly all the offense on a bases-clearing double. The Suns are now 2-0 in the best-of-five series. The playoff series continues tomorrow in Birmingham, with the victor going on to play the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx, who swept their playoff series with the Carolina Mudcats.

"Those guys could have beaten most major league clubs last night," [Diamond Jaxx manager Razor] Shines said. "They were filthy. You knew early on that it was going to be a tough night, just because Billingsley was locating with everything. And then they brought in Broxton, who just blows your doors clean off.
