The Undying Rumor
With nothing else baseballish to write about, the local sportsjournos occupy themselves with fantasy in a kind of meta baseball league of their own. How else to explain this Daily Breeze column by Mike Waldner?
DePodesta's demeanor is a sign he's feeling the pressure. He was tense when last spotted at Dodger Stadium. He was relaxed and happy visiting friends when the A's, who employed him before he was hired by McCourt, played in Anaheim last week.That's it? Uh... well, okay, but DePo still has the very legitimate excuse that injuries killed this team. The last person to go will be DePo, and even if that happens, who replaces him? Dan Evans? If it's Drew McCourt, I summarily resign this blog's masthead and call on Rob Neyer for assistance in following a team whose guts are consumed by nepotism.A better indication of what McCourt might do would be the revolving door in the front office since his purchase of the Dodgers became official on Jan. 29, 2004.
A partial list of departures includes Evans, Bob Graziano as president, Chris Rhone as executive vice president of business operations and Lon Rosen as executive vice and chief marketing officer. More than a few others have parted company with the Dodgers.
That's the big reason why it will not be a shocker if DePodesta is the next to go.

Wouldn't it make some sense for Bradley to use a doctor in Ohio since he used to play for Cleveland and it's quite likely that the man treated him before.
