Last Minute Notes

Watching the NLCS, the announcers reported that Roger Clemens' mother said "Shoeless Joe Jackson" three times before she died this year. (She also predicted the score of a 10-2 victory over the Fish on the day she died.) Are the Astros destined to play the White Sox in the World Series this year? With the Astros losing part after part -- Reggie Sanders, the Cards' hottest bat, is out of today's game following a bad fall fielding a ball -- these teams are more evenly matched than ever before.

We'll find out in a few minutes. I'm headed to the park. There's times to dance with the one that brung ya, and times to shake things up. Time to shake things up, Mike.
