Minor League Scorebook

No news tonight, so straight to the games --

2005-10-12: Mesa 1, Surprise 10 #
Kendrick: 3-5, 1 2B, 1 RBI
Haerther: 2-4, 2 RBI, 2 K
Morales: 2-4, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 1 BB
Wood: 0-3, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 3 K
Smith: 3-4, 2 2B, 3 RBI
Jimerson: 1-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 K
Robinson: 3-3, 1 3B, 1 BB
Buchholz: 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 3.00 ERA
Scalamandre: 2.0 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 2 K, 0 BB, 2.25 ERA
Cavazos: (W, 1-0) (in relief), 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 4 K, 0 BB, 0.00 ERA
A real slaughter in which the Angels' prospects had a decent hand. Wood turned in a silver sombrero (i.e., three strikeouts, in a locution I just invented, thank you very much), but plenty o' offense from Morales and Kendrick. Good news.
2005-10-12: Peo Javelinas 1, Phoenix 5 #
Suzuki: 1-2, 1 RBI, 2 BB, 1 K
LaRoche: 2-4
Kemp: 2-3, 1 BB
Abreu: 2-2, 1 BB
Komine: 5.0 IP, 0 ER, 6 H, 5 K, 0 BB, 2.08 ERA
Lynch: (BS, 1)(W, 1-0) (in relief), 2.0 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 K, 2 BB, 8.31 ERA
Almost all the scoring in this one was done in the seventh, which explains Matt Lynch's win despite the blown save. Good outings by all the Dodgers prospects today.
