More Purges, Roster Changes At Chavez Ravine

As you may have already seen over at Jon's, the Dodgers have gone through yet another binge and purge cycle, firing John Olguin as Vice President of Public Relations, and "Chris Gutierrez as baseball information coordinator and Paul Gomez as broadcasting publications supervisor". Earlier this year, Olguin participated in a roundtable at the LA Press Club about sportswriting in the 21st century, which was pretty cool and all. His replacement will be Camille Johnston.

The Dodgers promoted Olguin in April after firing Lon Rosen, but I have to wonder: how much did the losing season have to do with all of this?

The Dodgers also allowed Mike Rose to leave via waivers to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and DFA'd Ryan Ketchner and Derek Thompson.

The Dodgers interviewed Alan Trammell for the vacant managerial position on Wednesday and again today, Ron Wotus on Thursday, and Torey Lovullo on Saturday.

Comments:
How is Camille Johnston related to McCourt? Hey, it had to be asked.
