These Guys Won 95 Games? White Sox 5, Angels 2

Chone Figgins is hitting .100. Vlad is hitting .083. Garret Anderson's hitting .091.

Fix that, and the Angels will go somewhere. Leave it continue, as it has been since day one of the postseason, and this team won't even make it back to Chicago.

Vlad, in my book, is coming perilously close to being a postseason choker. Maybe he needs some help (read: protection), maybe he needs surgery, maybe both.

Lackey had nothing. Embarrassing, awful, and wretched. I had to turn on KMZT to keep from hurling, or having a blood vessel burst.

Embarrassing

Looks like the 3-days rest situation finally caught up with Lackey. No sink in his pitches. Was left to die out there.

ChiSox starters have just had two complete games. That's unheard of and speaks to how poorly the middle of the Angels lineup have been hitting. But the ChiSox starters do have the lowest era in the AL and have been all well-rested for this series.

Angels offense are hitting exactly like an Angels offense with a cold Vlad. It's kinda surprising how far they've gotten with him this way.

Hard to say; humidity was down and the temperature was 89F, which probably thinned out the air. Combine it with his rest situation, and you've got a bad game on your hands. People will point to Doug Eddings, but Bart's injury and the Angels' flaccid bats may have cost us a World Series appearance.

Absolutely. No Vlad, no way.
