Well, Uh, Good Luck With That Free Agency Thing
The Rangers, who haven't gotten a single inning from Frank Francisco, and only 69 from Francisco Cordero, who missed spring training, have decided on their offseason free agency targets: relief pitching.
That's why when Rangers management sits down to discuss the team's off-season plans, the bullpen will figure heavily. The talks begin today when Hicks meets with manager Buck Showalter, general manager John Hart and the rest of the team's most trusted officials to discuss off-season strategy. The Rangers expect that bullpen holes can be addressed in free agency.Wow... that's almost like saying, "we won't address it". I'll be very interested to see who they end up getting... and how badly overpaid they are."There are veteran pitchers out there that we think can help us," Hicks said. "If we can get them, we will."
