Hart To Stay With Rangers, Drops Out Of LA GM Contest

Thanks to Jon (see comment 110) for pointing out the fact that John Hart has withdrawn from the race to become the next Dodgers GM.
"I want to thank Frank McCourt for the opportunity to speak with him regarding his opening," Hart said. "I enjoyed speaking to him, however, I have indicated to Texas owner Tom Hicks my desire to remain with the Rangers. Therefore, I am withdrawing my name from consideration for the general manager's job with the Dodgers."
He may have made some dumb moves in the past, but this is not one of them.... Also via ESPN, which says Ng and Colletti are believed to be the leading candidates.

Update: dodgers.com reports the same thing, adding the decision was "mutual".
