Pickoff Moves, Bedtime Edition

When Less Means Moore

So now the Dodgers are supposed to talk to Atlanta AGM Dayton Moore about their open GM position. There's at least 28 teams with an AGM (we know the Dodgers have already spoken with Kim Ng, and the Red Sox don't have one). At the rate of one per week, that would take us into ... June. A steady ratcheting down of expectations, from winning the NLDS to just staying competitive to winning more than 71 games -- and now to simply fielding a 25-man roster.

Dodgers At Cashman

From the story above, the Dodgers will play exhibition games at Cashman Field again in 2006, for the first time since 2003, hosting the Mariners on March 30. Perhaps Adrian Beltre can pretend he's a Dodger again, and perhaps Derek Lowe can throw him a low, outside slider to remind him of the good old days.
