Roster Notes
On another slow news day --
- The A's signed free agent minor leaguer Matt Roney to a $340,000, one-year contract. The A's also purchased the contracts of minor league outfielders Andre Ethier and Javier Herrera from AAA Sacramento, and RHP Shane Komine from AA Midland.
- The Padres re-signed former Dodger Eric Young, to a one-year, $700,000 contract.
- The Pirates dealt former Cub Bobby Hill to the Padres.
