Pretty Omar
I have no idea what Choi Hoon is trying to convey in his latest cartoon.
But the idea of Omar Minaya playing dolls with player agents while singing "Pretty Woman" through the halls of the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas is pretty damn funny.
Comments:
I have no knowledge of Korean, but I think I've got an idea.
Minyana, as GM of the Expos, appears to some agent (Boras, maybe?) and wants to sign some hotshot free agent. The agent mocks him and his lack of money, and Minyana is humiliated. Later, as GM of the free-spending Mets, Minyana returns with plenty of free agent aquisitions. He mocks the agent (who now wants his business), and leaves.
Basically, it's a joke based on the fact that Minyana went from being forced into dumping big contract players with the Expos to trading for Delgado, signing Beltran, etc with the Mets.
