Well, She's Half Right
Via BTF, it turns out that Anna Benson has the kind of intellectually vacant opinions you'd expect of someone who makes a living by knowing how to use her compact mirror: turns out she's publicly sniffing at Carlos Delgado, who rightfully refuses to stand for "God Bless America" (it's not the national anthem, dummy). Meantime, she's got a gig coming up at Playboy posing nude, and rumor is that's too much for the Mets, who can't handle the idea of anyone ogling the players wives any more than already goes on. As a result of that -- or maybe it was his 10-8, 4.13 ERA season? -- it seems Benson's on the trade block. Whatever, in this corner, we would hope Anna -- the clothed or unclothed version -- would develop a little tolerance for others' refusenik behavior.

Maybe in the Barry Goldwater vein, but certainly not along the lines of anything operating under the Neoconservative label. Perhaps you were thinking of the Crank?
She has certainly carved a niche in emphasizing patriotic correctness while eschewing the moral (i.e. CLOTHED) values ordinarily associated with fealty to the flag and its attendant hymns.
