Johnny Estrada Agrees To One-Year Deal With Arizona

The Snakes have signed catcher Johnny Estrada to a one-year deal worth $2 million. The former Braves All Star was acquired by the Diamondbacks in a trade for relievers Lance Cormier and Oscar Villareal; he was limited to 105 games last year due to a collision with Darin Erstad.

Comments:
I read in "Espn the Magazine" recently that one of the reasons the Braves let Estrada go is that they believed he was never the same player following his collision with Ersty.

Thanks to Darin Erstad that collision knocked an "a" out of Estrada's name. He is now known as Johnny Estrad.
