The MLB Misery Index
Angels fans, feel miserable? How 'bout you, Dodger fans? Nah, didn't think so, as the two teams came in 17th and 22nd in major league baseball respectively. Misery, as defined by Jim Caple, is some combination of historic dispair, recent dispair, historic pain, recent pain, intangible misery, and misery outlook. The most miserable fans? Why, the Chicago Cubs.
