I have to laugh at the Erstad bone spur. They say it's not expected to cause him to miss any time...where's he been the last few days, then? I know it's spring training and better to err on the side of caution, but the ankle doesn't know that. Inflammation and pain are inflammation and pain regardless of time of year. I don't see this as something that will just "go away". The bone spur is there and only surgery will make it go away (see Escobar, K. 2005)
 
I'm actually optimistic that it means McPherson will get a real chance after spending a month or so in the minors.
 
if you really believe Lowe, I'm concerned for you. The movement on his ball allows him to throw it down the middle at times though.
 
This is really beginning to look like it's going to be a long frustrating year for the Halos.
