The Zipper That Almost Became A Banana Peel

From the Times, we learn that the blowback from Derek Lowe's extracurricular studies nearly got him canned:
In late July, the Hughes accusations surfaced on the Internet, then Trinka Lowe gave several interviews.

At this point, at McCourt's urging, Lowe met with club President Jamie McCourt, who Frank says has experience in marital counseling and law.

Sources say that meeting did not go well and that she wanted to trade him, although Frank McCourt denied it.

Jamie McCourt, experience in marital counseling? If the way she's run the Dodgers is anything like the kind of advise she gives out to couples in distress... ugh.

Comments:
It is great to see that "size 0" appartently wanted to see this year's opening day pitcher traded last year. Imagine her react to Milton Bradley choking his pregnant ex-wife!!!

Perhaps this is why DePodesta was released, "size 0" disagreed to the extent that the character of a player matters? Just a thought...
