Derrek Lee Hits DL With Broken Hand
The Cubs disabled first baseman Derrek Lee as a result of his collision with Rafael Furcal in yesterday's game, which broke his hand. He will wear a cast for six weeks, and could be sidelined up to three months. There's a certain irony in the Cubs' best offensive player being taken out by the shortstop they were vigorously courting in the offseason. Reaction at BCB and Cub Reporter.
